LUBRICATION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY 2008

General information

Objectives and profile of the Conference

Lubrication is a key subject in industry and transport. Lifetime and economical efficiency of many of mechanical devices depend upon a suitable lubrication. Fundación TEKNIKER and the Jost Institute for Tribotechnology realized that even though there were numerous international congresses dealing with the scientific approach for lubrication and wear, there were not any specific industrially focused event (maintaining the academia compromise, too).

First LUBMAT was held in Preston (UK) in 2006. Now, and based on the first success, a second edition will be held in San Sebastián (Spain). Contributions will be developed on all aspects of lubrication management and technology, including:

Applications of fluid lubricants, greases, solid lubricants
Use of lubricants additives
Lubrication in special environments
Environmentally friendly lubricants
Lubrication management
Condition monitoring
Lubrication technology (bearings, transmissions, seals, etc.)
Lubricant testing

Apart from the Conference itself, there will be a training day the day before (3rd June 2008) with an independent registration. Likewise an exhibition will be available for interested firms.

Official language

All papers and oral communications shall be made in English. There will not be any simultaneous translation service.

Papers presentation

If interested in making a presentation in Lubmat Conference, an abstract shall be submitted in due time. Abstracts will be subject to peer review and, if approved, authors will be asked for submitting a complete paper, following the format instructions given in this web page.

Complete and approved papers will be published in proceedings; one copy of the proceedings will be provided for each delegate at the conference.

Registration

There exists a point in the web page to deal with reservation. Any interested person in attending the Conference will find every necessary information and procedures to do it. In any case, every attendant shall pay the following fees:

	Before 15th of April	After 15th of April
Regular	440 €	500 €
Presenter	340 €	400 €

Every submitted paper will require at least one registration. Registration fee gives the right for all lunches and coffees, the official dinner of the Conference and the proceedings.
